Brendan,

I just checked, and "Bottom Fields First" is selected in the "Set
Format" dialog box of my project. :-/

There are some still pictures in my project which are not interlaced. But for
my test, I just render a few seconds at the beginning of the project,
where there is no still picture.

Could the problem come from the mpeg2enc syntax I use...

In fact, that's really complex... I'm trying yuvdeinterlace right now.
There's an -s1 option for bottom fields first.
