I understand what you are saying regarding Theora. My first pass at this
document was meant to explain to the novice Cinelerra user how to produce
video content readable by the general public, who may or may not know how to
install a separate media player. As a first draft then, my target media
players are the biggies: DVD, iTunes and IE. I haven't done enough
experimenting yet with Theora to be able to explain the process to people.
But I will investigate it.
Thanks to everybody who has looked over the guide. I've made quite a few
enhancements to the doc as a result of your suggestions.

I kind of miss the mentioning of Theora for internet distribution. It is
playable without glitches on any platform using VLC (Linuxa, Mac,
Windows). Beside Flash video, theora is probably the most internet-ready
solution thanks to Cortado java player applet.
