Right now I'm trying to determine which approach would be the best in
terms of both background rendering performance and increasing the speed
of final rendering.
Currently I've got a motley assortment of boxes in the P4 family and one
AMD64 Athlon box. They seem to work OK, but I'm not really seeing
anything that's usable in a "realtime" way with regards to the
background rendering.
I have one P4 with HT, so I was wondering if Cinelerra would gain any
extra benefit from that. I was also wondering if I get a new box(es)
should I just put my money into an AMD64 Dual Opteron box with dual core
CPUs? Or should I get a bunch of less expensive Athlon 64s as render
nodes? Is there any "best" approach" for fast rendering?
Just asking more "newbie-ish" questions...
