I'll throw my "me too" in and agree with everyone else, it's difficult to use as-is and would be much better if there was a common history of rendered filenames, with just the extension changing based on render type. It would be most useful I think if there was a box where the extension was changable, but defaulted to something - would be best if that box was directly to the right of the filename (so it would be obvious). It probably would be even better if the directory and filename were seperate also.
I guess my preference would be something like directory: [directory entry ] filename base: [filename base entry] ext: [.ext ] e.g. directory: [/home/ddstreet/myproject ] filename base: [my-video ] ext: [.mov ] with this setup, if users didn't like the seperate ext, they could remove the ext completely and just fill it in themselves for each filename (the ext should be remembered by the render type). e.g. directory: [/home/ddstreet/myproject ] filename base: [my-video.mov ] ext: [ ] Just my $0.02 On 12/24/06, Andraž Tori <> wrote:

It would be extremely useful if just the extension would change, but not the full filename. bye andraž _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
