It works for me. But to be honest - video editing in Kino is a bit old fashioned. I have edited a lot of movies with Pinnacle (studio 9) and there are some steps bakcwards using Kino. Haven't succeded in installing Cinerella yet, but am looking forward to test it out.

Is that all you need to do on your Ubuntu to merrily capture in Kino as
user?
