Looks ok. I just tried this: - Created a circle with Gimp on a 720x540 canvas. - Resized that canvas to 720x576 and stored as png. (The Circle is now more a vertical ellipse, of course.) - Created a new PAL project in Cinelerra (720x576). - Loaded the png "as resource only" into Cinelerra. - Dragged the media onto the time line. - The composer now shows a perfect circle. Not a vertical ellipse. Not a horizontal ellipse. Nothing is cropped. No borders were added. I don't know what you did wrong. Note that I didn't care about the 720 vs. 704 pixel width for the moment.
