Which version of the source are you trying to compile? What distro are you on?
It looks like you might be trying to compile the source from the heroinewarrior web site? We generally recommend compiling the version out of svn, as it is what this mailing list is primarily about. You can find some download instructions at http://cvs.cinelerra.org/getting_cinelerra.php#source . Also, you do not need to install quicktime/linux outside of the cinelerra build. The version cinelerra uses is included within it's own source tree.
