Synaptic says the libiec61883 library is installed, but I presume this
is terminal stuff. When I type "test-mpeg2 -h" in, it's an
unrecognizable command.

Yeah, I may leave that for another day. I want my first release to be
regular DV anyway, and when the software catches up, I'll be ready to do
more.
