I'm very interested to see cinelerra in a ppc64, if some thing goes wrong in 
the compilation (probably something will go wrong, like in ppc sometime ago) 
I'd like to help.
We are starting a free uhf tv, and i'm trying to convince a friend that has a 
g5 to install linux on it ;)

may be we can help libdv people to get some altivec optimization in the 
code! - libdv has no altivec optimization code in it... - lets assembly!
