Not only that - there are also situations where one might have
repetitive tasks, such as applying a given effect stack to n different
clips.

For such repetitive tasks, constant clicking/dragging/dropping is a
complete pain; in such situations, it's way better to be able to hack a
script to run CLI tools.

I do hope Mark is implementing the strict separation between FICL
extension and C API as recommended.
