If you want "cross-integration", you would need to port all the Cinelerra
features into blender.
Regards,
Martin

My opinion is that´s not needded because the blender color correction tools are far more advanced in blender, actually cinelerra could TAKE those values aund integrate into some singe BLENDERCORRECTION filter, wich could act as Curves, Bright and contrast levels, or even node editor metadata from compositing. but I realize that sounds complex.

the CROSS INTEGRATION, should start as a EXTERNAL process, actually cinelerra, and blender can be used, until certain point externally, so if you want to make 3D transitions, as I seggested to the OpenME developer, is not so complex, because blender -b renders in background, and with internal scripts, you can reach internal animation values, so blender can ve used as a SLAVE, to calculate 3DFX or Transitions. I know it isn´t the same, could be slower, but THE USER has the ability to create those animations, the DATABASE would grow exponentially, independentrly fro the developers, they just put the 3D Transition in cinelerra, and cinelerra calls the blender render when the user selects the animation for the transition, wich are contained inside blender, as SCENES.

the same happends with audio, Adobe Premiere Pro CALLS from the timeline an audio editor: Adobe audition, it´s so simple, but works and the users had more control over the timeline, and no render is needed, well the soft makes de render internally.Wouln´t be great to have this in cinelerra? just RIGTH CLICK in an audioclip and and a popup or menu saying: OPEN in AUDACITY, then cinelerra runs a fast audio render, and replaces i the timeline the audio with the fake lossless WAV. that´s profesional, not very complex to achieve, correct me if i´m wrong, because audacity, can RUN-and-load externally: audacity temporary-audio.wav then just use the FX from audacity, and close-save and the timeline automatically refresh that file, cinelerra actually does this.

with whose options, a software uses others to achieve more complex results.

Marquitux.
But honestly i think someone should someday stablish CERTAIN BASIC STANDARD, like say ubuntu studio, so many apps can work in the same environment, and have this kind of features, but until then, ubuntustudio is just a nice distro with cool icons, like a bag with a lot of software, the idea of a Editing platform loses there.
