Sorry, (I feel stupid) but the keys of accent still don't work for
titles. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Are you the brightest kid in class ;)

es_ES.utf8 is not in your list, why are you still setting it?
The fact is that I speak catalan (maybe you know, a lenguage spoke in
the north-east of Spain, Catalonia) and all my computer is configured in
catalan. Allways. Since the instalation. Can it be a problem? For more
information: till now I've been using the Cinelerra english version.

Then try this:

export LC_ALL=ca_ES.utf8

Try to use my translation fix as descibed on cinelerra wiki:

/"If your distribution have only UTF-8 support (like ubuntu), before you mast create language carset with:

localedef -c -i (language_prefix) -f (your ISO-8859 variant) (language_prefix).(your ISO-8859 variant)
ex. localedef -c -i it_IT -f ISO-8859-15 it_IT.ISO-8859-15

and then you can run cinelerra with
env LANG=$(echo $LANG | sed -e s/UTF-8/(your ISO-8859 variant)/g) cinelerra
ex. env LANG=$(echo $LANG | sed -e s/UTF-8/ISO-8859-15/g) cinelerra"

wiki link:
http://cvs.cinelerra.org/docs/wiki/doku.php?id=english_manual:cinelerra_cv_en_21#available_localizations
/iso_8859 link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8859

On italian translation work great!
