There actually is a working version of fink for Leopard, just no binary release yet.

In fact, it should be possible to use the esound backend - however I can not confirm that it works satisfactory. If you plan on using cinelerra for any real work, I would still suggest you set up a double-boot environment with Ubuntu and save yourself a lot of trouble.
