Hi! Since this my first post here: I'm an industrial designer with a huge interest in interaction and interface design. I have next to no experience with video, but have been working with audio and Flash.
You might get an idea of what I could do for this project if you take a look at my work on Ardour's export dialog: http://thorwil.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/export_design_2007-08-11.pdf On Fri, 2008-02-15 at 00:27 +0100, Richard Spindler wrote: > There various "Non-Standard" Input devices, so I'll start with a > little list of them to get an Overview. Each device has at least one axis (you could also call it a channel). If you think of buttons as axes, too, you now have boolean and continuous axes of varying resolution. Some axes are releated like x and y of a tablet pen. You might want to have "groups" to model that relation. Since mapping input device events to actions is interesting for several apllications, I think it should be a system-wide service. > If you have any Ideas about how an application could look like that > would allow the most flexible configuration and mapping of such > devices, please, share your ideas. :-) Well, some time ago I started conceptual work, but didn't finish it because there wasn't enough interest in my admitedly far reaching ideas and there are very challenging design issues. At least my list of devices and thoughts on events should be of use: http://thorwil.wordpress.com/2007/04/10/event-to-action-mapping-1/ -- Thorsten Wilms thorwil's design for free software: http://thorwil.wordpress.com/ _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
