I like the general theme, film/lens, but...
Some suggestions for a logo:

* (thus..) use only a few full colors, no gradients, mixed colors
* high contrast
Basically idea is to use a modern lens colors and it is a draft, it can
be redraw to be more printer friendly
* make it look good on diffrent background colors

* Don't require/expect white background
done
* only vector graphic as authorative source would be acceptable
* should scale from microscopic size (favicon) up to big posters,
source available now
maybe handcrafted for special purpose (leave details/frames out
for small ones)
anyways there is so much more to do before we shall care for a logo, I
am currently setting up the project server. We need people helping with
the website, coders etc...
right Christian, I can help site design :) ... Logo is a part of it :p
