This is an integrated replacement for the proxy scripts currently used and
gives functionality that is likely to be similar to that already found in other
NLE packages.
Instead of a single video source file, have multiple cached alternatives in
parallel directory trees. Program would automatically call a transcoder to
make the cached alternate resolutions. The appropriate resolution would be
selected based on the desired target mode. Project settings would have
multiple resolutions instead of a single resolution, along with a subdirectory
prefix for each resolution. Filenames of each of the files would be stored
since the transcoded file may not have the same extension.

When editing in multiresolution mode, still frames could be displayed from the
highest resolution in the composer when selecting coordinates.
