I can confirm this behaviour on my system, also Ubuntu Hardy.

Loading a project which was saved with a movie in the viewer causes Cinelerra to hang. Removing the content in <vwindow> lets you reopen the file.

Thanks for the workaround!

In the VIEWER windows, BEFORE to save the project, I have to right click
and select "CLOSE SOURCE", otherwise the project hangs after trying to reload it.

In fact, if I save a project with a selected clip (with in point and out
point) in the Viewer Window, once reloaded the project hangs.

To reproduce the bug, try this:
1- double click on a clip in "Media" so it appears in the Viewer Window.
2- Select random in point and out point, and press "Splice" to the
selected portion of the clip splices to the timeline.
3- Do this for some other two or three clips.
4- Save the project.
5- Close Cinelerra.

Open Cinelerra, click "Load files..", select "Replace current project"
and load the previously saved xml file. Cinelerra (probably) will hang.

Now open Cinelerra and redo from point 1 to 3. Then right click in the
"Viewer" window and select "Close source". Save and close.
When you reload the project, it works.

At least, this is what happens on my two computers.
