Ubuntu 8.04 and several Aug 24 versions of Cinelerra on HP DV5000Z laptop with
1 GB memory and 32-bit Ubuntu installed. Cinelerra seems to run fine except:
whenever I "save backup" or "save" to an XML file, the backup appears to load
successfully (things all appear in the Media repository and video.audio clips,
etc), but the GUI hangs (spinning indicator) in the Program Window forever.
Cinelerra (32 bit generic and other 32 bit versions also tried) was loaded and
installed via Synaptics pkg manager from akirad.net.
When I save & immediately load backup it seems to be OK, but if I save, kill,
restart and (immediately) load backup, it hangs as above.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. New project.
2. Load some clips into media repository.
3. View a clip
4. Edit a few pieces into Compositor window.
5. Save backup (or Save to .xml file)
6. Kill Cinelerra or quit without saving.
7. Start Cinelerra.
8. Immediately "Load backup" or "Load saved.xml"
9. Load appears to succeed, but Program Window GUI hangs.
Actual Results:
Load appears to succeed, but Program Window GUI hangs with the spinning "busy"
mouse indicator.
