There were reports that the GUI hangs when something is loaded in the Viewer.
Deleting the <VWINDOW_EDL></VWINDOW_EDL> section from the project file seems to
fix the problem.
Perhaps yours is the same bug; could you please test if the workaround fixes
things for you and report back?
