Ok I should RTFM.
I was using the fill frame option.... silly me.
However if someone can point out the diff between timed and untimed
Cheers

Hi there
I am trying to interface 2 soft using vloopback. One being Cinelerra
and the other Coriander (DCAM firewire).
With my DCam I use format 7, meaning that I shoot a frame of my video
everytime an external event triggers the cam.
So of course the frame rate is more or less random.
In fact it happens at roughly 7to 8 fps. A bit like an automatic
stop-motion video only faster.
Coriander sents the frames to /dev/video0 and with with vloopback I
get the frames via /dev/video1 under cinelerra.
All works fine. However ... :-)
To record under cinelerra a frame rate is needed. If I use, let's say
25, I end up with much more frames than I am supposed to get a bit
like if cinelerra is readind /dev/video1 at the rate of 25 fps where
coriander is changing the frames at 7~8 fps. And that may well be the
case...
Now there is an option timed/untimed but can't get the "timed" option
to get anything.
So ... is there a chance I can configure something to synchronize the
both ?
Thanks a lot
