Hello Kurt The final frame rate is 18 fps (super8). I eventually got it to work properly, Coriander is sending a serie of pictures on /dev/video0 Cinelerra is listening on /dev/video1 In record preference you define the final frame rate, and during record DO NOT use the 'fill frames' option. Eventually cinelerra drops a sequence of Tiff files. Stop recording, uncheck "monitor video" and click on the Ok button to paste the lot into your cinelerra video track. Works beautifully. I can now make some color correction and export in HD H264 in half the time I needed before. I just need a blue ray burner now :-) Next step is to try openEXR. I must admit i have no experience with coriander or vloopback. However, I would think you need an idea of what frame rate you want to play back your end product?Georg On Saturday 06 September 2008 20:58:21 E Chalaron wrote:Hi there I am trying to interface 2 soft using vloopback. One being Cinelerra and the other Coriander (DCAM firewire). With my DCam I use format 7, meaning that I shoot a frame of my video everytime an external event triggers the cam. So of course the frame rate is more or less random. In fact it happens at roughly 7to 8 fps. A bit like an automatic stop-motion video only faster. Coriander sents the frames to /dev/video0 and with with vloopback I get the frames via /dev/video1 under cinelerra. All works fine. However ... :-) To record under cinelerra a frame rate is needed. If I use, let's say 25, I end up with much more frames than I am supposed to get a bit like if cinelerra is readind /dev/video1 at the rate of 25 fps where coriander is changing the frames at 7~8 fps. And that may well be the case... Now there is an option timed/untimed but can't get the "timed" option to get anything. So ... is there a chance I can configure something to synchronize the both ? Thanks a lot E _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra |
