Hi John. The less expensive and best solution for that is what you buy any NVIDIA card with TV Out (there maybe still some PCI versions but are more expensive than the AGP). Of course I guess you have a free PCI slot if not try to get one (free some if you have another kind of card what you don't use).
And later install the NVIDIA propietary drivers and configure the TwinView option to two heads (two monitors). One monitor will be the CRT (your real monitor) and the other the TV output (connected to your TV of course). Configure in large desktop mode (not clone mode) and you just only need to move the composite window to the other side of your large desktop where you can see that in your TV (nice!). I was experiment with that and that is great. You just can move to the other side all kind of programs (your navigator, some video player, the word processor) because now you have a large desktop composed with both monitors (I mean with your monitor and your TV). In video edition that will help a lot of course. Bye! On Sun, 23 Nov 2008 16:33:31 +1300, E Chalaron wrote: Hi John Don't you have an AGP bus ? or even a PCI.. How do you run cinelerra without one ? Not a criticism at all, don't get me wrong, but how do you manage that.. try this link http://reviews.cnet.com/graphics-cards/xfx-geforce-7950-gt/4505-8902_7-32455174.html [1] John Detwiler wrote: Because, I don't have a graphics card.
