I just downloaded the latest version of Cinelerra for my Fedora 9 64-bit
system, and tried to use it to edit the AVI file I just recorded with my
camera. The AVI file, 1 m 30 s of 720*480 pixels, is 180 MB in size.
This is far, far too large for me to post on the Internet. I want to use
Cinelerra to make it smaller, but I don't know how. Cinelerra loads and
plays the file just fine, but whenever I try to render it into another
AVI file, regardless of the settings, the audio track somehow shrinks to
less than 30 s long, making it entirely out of sync with the video
track. This is unacceptable. How can I ensure the audio and video tracks
stay the same length? And what factors contribute the most to the
overall file size?
