While abstractly I understand the difference between codecs and
containers/formats, everyone always talks as if its easy for end users
like me to choose the underlying codec of their container formats. If
there were some way for me to flip a switch on UYVY versus YUYV
ordering, or mjpeg versus yuv2, then I would *love* to know about it.
Right now I know of no way to control that in cinelerra or any other
software.
forgive me if I missed the point of the thread which I skipped through
but -
In the render dialog look beside the words 'Audio:' and 'Video:' for a
little spanner symbol. You click on this symbol and you can indeed
change the sorts of parameters you're talking about. Perhaps you
already knew this but many (including me) miss the significance of these
little symbols until pointed out.
