I do quite a lot video editing, :D, using CV version normally, actually using sv merge from git repository.

At the same time i use to have a try to HV version, which is normally a bit complicate to build or simply use due a lack of info, in my opinion and at least for beginners...i have to say i've never be able to use HV version for a complete job, i mean..just to have a try. Anyway, still trying...

my 2 cents

I was wondering about stability and resources issues...
I know that the HV offers support to a large number of video formats,
and had some new features. But the CV is running perfectly here, and I
don't know if the HV worts a try!
If you need the new features, its worth a try.

Here I have the 2.1 Community Version, but does this mean that the CV is
not updated as the HV? (or is the CV built this way to be more stable?)
merging HV into CV needs some people doing it, that could be you, or
anyone else. CV means community version and it depends on the community.
If no one works on it then there is no progress.

If you don't mind to answer, what version are you running, an why? :P

I have both, but dont do much video editing currently.
