I'm doing some workshops on cinelerra right now in Iglulik, Nunavut.
Many of the cameras that are used have x264 codecs.
With the ubuntu/puredyne version that I am having them use,(ubuntu
9.10), the akirad cinelerra-cv packages post an error
to the
screen every now and then.
cinelerra still runs ok and we can edit. However, it is really
anoying. Is there anyway to divert this warning/error message tot
eh console or get rid of it all together?
the error says something like "virtual int
FileMOV::read_frame(VFrame*):quicktime_read_frame/quicktime_decode_video
failed, result:"
But, it doesn't say anything about wha the error is.
Today we covered linux..tomorrow we will go over cinelerra in depth.
The editors are very interested in cinelerra. They are pros that
work for isuma.tv ...this is the production company that made
Atanarjuat (the fast runner) in 2001.
Any ideas? Can this be fixed in a hurry?
