Lumiera is not due to be useful in the forseeable future. Our two core devs are working really hard, but a video editor is a BIG BIG BIG piece and it has to be done correctly. So things are moving ahead, with always the many cries of help (even with small things, like fixing a spam filter for the trac, or being a server admin). So forseeable future? Not at this pace, we need many more contributors - especially at the core. I can't do that, but I should be one around helping with easier stuff, sadly, like most, I always have a good excuse not to... :-/ It's only to easy saying «I'll help» but actually doing it takes more. ---------------------- And about the guide, - it looks good, but I'm thinking the same. Weave the two together, -- or make one in another format; with that I mean, you have the big reference guide, and a quicker, smaller and more to-the-point what-do-you-need-to-know if you're new-guide. That also can live at the same site.
