Yes, it is the original video. You mean you inserted it to Cinelerra's
timeline, added the saturation effect and pushed saturation up and saw
different artifacts?

Yes.  However, I notice that the brightness or gamma differs, too.
The picture was brighter in my compositor window than in your screenshot
of Cinelerra, but your screenshot of Avidemux was _much_ brighter.
Could be a gamma setting thing; is the paused picture worse than
during playback?

Do you use X11, X11-XV or OpenGL as display driver?


Could you send me your screenshot?

I did not make a screenshot, but compared side by side.
