Hi all,

Finally got the input file-reader patch for Cinelerra-CV working with
audio and video without clobbering existing capabilities. The patches
are attached in a tar.gz file. They need to be applied in the order
specified by the series file.

Status:

Sample Used: Panasonic HD1080p at 50fps. .MTS file
Audio :
      Perfect audio - Monty, note this:)
      Timeline waveform is trash.

Video :
      Settings->Preferences: Play every frame, X11-XV selected;
Asynchronous-Decode off.
      Achieved 77fps with fast-playback in View/Compositor window;
50fps with normal playback

  Problems:
      1.  Asynchronous decode is clobbered.
      2. Timeline is blank, as is the icon in the resource window.
      3. icon->info shows FFMPEG as the reader and all correct info,
but does not display compressor info
             though it has been set in FFMPEG::open
       4. OpenGL doesn't work - probable problem in covert_cmodel in
cinelerra/ffmpeg.C

But with a dirac SD clip and a 1280x720 h264 bcast qual. clip (both as
Transport Streams), asynchronous mode needs to be set, for them to
play!

Hope this finds its way into cinelerraCV mainline.

I'll henceforth be on_and_off the net, but will look forward to feedback.

Maybe cinderella's dependence on internal mpeg3 and quicktime needs
work. libmpeg3 or libquicktime with gavl?

Arvind
