We use Digi CM-16 and CM-48 console servers for out of band mgt. Most CM models have a PCMCIA port for a modem or you can burn up one of the console ports for a modem link. http://www.digi.com/products/consoleservers/digicm.jsp Works great, supports SSL, SSH, etc... for in-band mgt as well.
