Is there a way to clear the configuration of a module AFTER it has been removed from a 6500/7600 chassis?
7609#clear module ? ContentSwitchingModule Clear CSM SLB module information csg Clear CSG information pc-module Clear PC module information provision Clear module provision status I found the following but i guess this works only if it's configured before the removal of the module, because i tried it and the config is still there. 7609(config)#module ? ContentServicesGateway Configure a CSG module ContentSwitchingModule configure a CSM SLB module clear-config To clear configuration when module is removed provision Configure module provision status 7609(config)#module clear-config 7609#sh mod 7 % no module in that slot 7609#sh run int gi7/1 Building configuration... Current configuration : 61 bytes ! interface GigabitEthernet7/1 no ip address shutdown end Running 12.2(18)SXF8... PS: What is even more annoying is that the removed interfaces return snmp oid values under ifindex. 7609#sh snmp mib ifmib ifindex | inc GigabitEthernet7 GigabitEthernet7/1: Ifindex = 72 GigabitEthernet7/10: Ifindex = 81 GigabitEthernet7/11: Ifindex = 82 GigabitEthernet7/12: Ifindex = 83 GigabitEthernet7/13: Ifindex = 84 GigabitEthernet7/14: Ifindex = 85 GigabitEthernet7/15: Ifindex = 86 GigabitEthernet7/16: Ifindex = 87 -- Tassos _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
