Hi All, CPU utilisation on my 6509s ( VS-S720-10G running SXH) is very high because of applications communicating via broadcast. I want to stop these broadcasts hitting the 6509 CPU.
The below documents says CoPP for bcast is not supported in hw. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst6500/ios/12.2SX/configuration/guide/copp.html I can not use "Broadcast Suppression" as this is not a broadcast attack and i can not use mls rate limiters (it seems you can only limit unicast and multicast with mls rate-limiters.)
