Are you looking to do E1 over Ethernet, or mux them into DS-3/OC-3? It's not clear what L2 you are going to do over the fiber.

Hi, A network design I am working on would aggregate/terminate E1 connections at various sites or POPs and transfer the traffic over a fiber WAN. I am trying to figure out a device that would do a good job in taking incoming E1s and outgoing fiber. It appears to me that the Cisco AS5400XM appliance does not have support for fiber connections. I should be glad if any of you could recommend some Cisco product(s) for accomplishing this task. Many Thanks, Felix _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/ _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
