That's a very nice document. :-) (Hadn't seen it before.) However, it doesn't really explain what the RSP720 is, as far as I can see. This link explains the features of RSP720, SUP720 and SUP32: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/7600/Hardware/Hardware_Guides/Supervisor_Engine_and_Route_Switch_Processor_Guide/SupE02_external_docbase_0900e4b18075083b_4container_external_docbase_0900e4b1807b6700.html http://tinyurl.com/al4ue9 This phrase from the document puts it well: "The route switch processor is the newest version of supervisor engine." The RSP720 is "just" a faster processor, newer (better/more features/less stable?) MSFC (the "router" part) and a slightly enhanced Policy Feature Card (PFC3C) compared to the Sup720-3B(XL). And the RSP720 is prettier. :-) Regards, Peter _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
