That's more or less my thought too at this point. The load on the OCs
isn't even worth mentioning to be honest. The single port DS3 module
will be more likely to exert more strain on the G1 than all 4 OC3s at
this point.
(I'm not sure I remember that right. I think on the NPE-G1, the I/O
board is on a separate PCI bus, and could be replaced with a PA holder
card, which has its own set of bandwith points. But maybe I misremember
part of this - you might want to check this in the docs).
I thought about that but it's a little more cost. I'm still thinking
about adding a GigE I/O controller to get another GigE port in these
guys too so I can do a little bit more with them.
