since all the pptp traffic gets process switched, Cisco would not meet the feasibility condition on Router; if i were you i will use a linux (Intel Core 2 Duo,4 Gig Mem) box running poptop (http://www.poptop.org/) for such a huge and increasing number of pptp users.
