Per Cisco's site, I don't think the 6704 can use DSCP markings.

Under the 'Primary Features and Benefits' section the 6704 is listed as COS 
only, and the 6708 and 6716 as COS/DSCP.

Would you happen to have a "no mls qos rewrite ip dscp" command in
global config?
