A little research told me that this error does not make sense, because all I could find was a password reset issue. Nobody has physical access to this router but me. I should mention that this router worked fine for more than 15 months. We are constantly adding new peers and customers to it, so the workload is growing. But as I said, this is not the busiest router in my network. As of now I really have no idea where to look or how I could at least narrow down the problem.
