I've heart from a SE, that only Engine 5 linecards do IPv6 in
hardware.
Engine 3 as well.
Correct. Engine 3 like the 4GE-SFP-LC= work perfectly well.
I would like to add that we had severe problems with Engine 2
linecards
(3GE-GBIC-SC=) some time ago which seem to drop communication
linecard->rp when hitting 100% because of high IPv6 traffic (and
other
tasks). This led to OSPF adjacencies, LDP neighbors and BGP stuff
dropping (yes - even v4!). That was quite hard to debug. Not a nice
experience.
