Oke, I was beginning to suspect that I had to change it to a different
slot. The following URL says that a switch fabric module is not needed:
"Switch Fabric Modules operate only with a Supervisor Engine 2. They are
not supported with Supervisor Engine 1A or Supervisor Engine 720."

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/7600/Hardware/Hardware_Guides/7600_Series_Router_Module_Guide/11swfabm.html

Regarding the IOS 15 and unsupported modules: I have WS-F6K-DFC3A and
according to the link the WS-F6700-DFC3A is unsupported. Correct?

Any toughts about the WS-X6748-GE-TX in slot 3? It gives the following
message when IOS 15 is booted but will function, as far as I have tested.
00:03:40: SP: PREDNLD: LC doesn't meet resource requirement for
pre-download, not reserving memory for slot 3

Thanks
