Hi, This year I have rebooted 6x 6500 switches all remotely, 4 were fine and 2 weren't.
One of them had the FWSM die (WS-SVC-FWM). The other had the Sup die (SUP720-10G). I can't confirm if it was a memory corruption issue or not. In each case replacement hardware was onsite, as soon as the box doesn't boot up successfully chucking an error out the console about a specific card not working, an onsite smart hards replaces the card and it boots, if the ripped cards are under warranty they're RMA'ed. Cheers, James. _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
