Well, the provider may not be lying about their "max-prefix range", whatever
that means. But certainly, the OP wants to start considering other providers.
I've seen people get confused as to what the "values" following
maximum-prefix mean, so it's possible the person the OP talked to was a
jr. NOC worker and misread the config thinking the warning % threshold was
the top end value for the max-prefixes.
