Many wrenches in the toolbox here but don’t underestimate the utility of an older laptop running your favorite UNIX-like OS as console server (and more) in a smaller POP. You get a lot of flexibility and built in battery backup. Unless it’s forbidden by your respective powers that be... You might have to put it in a locked rack box and call it an “appliance”
