Hi Folks,
Great group going on here!! I'm hoping someone can give me advice on the
following:
We are using CUCM 8.6 and are looking to import a large number of H323
GW's, RG's, RL's etc.
I've used the Import/Export tool and selected GW's and used the "Check
dependency" to capture all the other associated fields.
I now have a tar file with all the CSV's needed. Happy so far!!
I'm not too sure if i need to keep the existing data in the CSV's, and add
to it? Or can I strip out the existing elements (keeping the headers) and
just have the new file with the elements that i need to import?
I have a horrible thought that if i re-import the file without the original
GW's etc, it might delete them from CM and leave me with my new GW's etc.
Paranoid.com!!!
Thanks for your help on this.
Kris

Hi All,
Is there a way to configure Call Park Timeout in Cisco Call Manager? I know
this feature is available in CC Express.
Thanks,
Mir

Got to the bottom of it now,
the phone is trying to go directly to the internet and by passing the
Proxy that?s why its been blocked by proxy.
That?s looks to be the case as when my browser has got a proxy address I
can go to this link
http://85.214.108.91/xml/xml-currency.html?device=#DEVICENAME#
But when proxy is disabled then browser fails.
Need to add some rules in the proxy for the phone subnet!!! I believe.

Yes. It's the Park Reversion timer under Service Parameters (System menu)
in Communications Manager.

Correct. I should have noted that I tried that as well, which then lead me
to the number expansion based solution, which does allow escape characters.

Another solution maybe create and apply translation to the incoming call leg
dial-peer that would strip the ** and replace with a unique prefix, then
have similar on the outgoing call dial-peer that would strip the pre-fix and
restore the **.
This is what I was thinking.

What am I doing wrong here?
(config)#dial-peer voice 701 pots
(config-dial-peer)#destination-pattern **47..
It gives me this error:
% nested *?+Incorrect format for ^((\*)?*47..)$
Huh? I am trying to match two stars followed by 47 followed by two wildcard
digits. (If I only do one star instead of two, it works fine.) This is on a
2901 with 15.1(3)T4.

It seems [*][*]47.. will do the trick. But according to the documentation, it
is not actually allowed.

Hmm. I think somebody was smoking something when they wrote the code to parse
destination-patterns.

Looks like it doesn't parse correctly. Even though I haven't seen * used as 0
or more in a destination-pattern, and I don't think it works as an operator, it
appears IOS's parser pretends it is.
This would be an alternative: [*][*]47..
Though since [*] isn't a literal it will send all 6 numbers, so use
forward-digits as necessary.

Hi All,
I am specialize on routing and switching only, and newbie on cisco phone.
trying to work on my phone system but little bit confusing. so your help is
very appreciated.
When service provider provides the voice/data line, they terminate our end
with a router(usually IAD router) is this correct? and if i run CME 2811,
after config it, route it to IAD as its gateway, register it with IAD via
SIP or CGMP...., is this correct. and i have about 20 users, will pvdm2-32
handle this voice service ok without hic-up. will it take all the bandwidth
of 1.5MB as T1 since i will use it as data as well. assume i am not
provided IAD router from ISP, can i just use the CME 2811 as router for data
and voice service at the same time? and lastly, will the AIM-CUE or NM-CUE
work for voice mail in this scenario?
I am so sorry if it's a lengthy, multiple questions. just trying to get the
picture in my head. again, thank you very much and appreciated your time.
.........People First..........
Best Regards,
Vincent Dao
