Yes it is, we ran with the sample queries that were listed in there.

It’s unclear what exactly is going on with the DB based on that documentation 
as some things don’t populate or do anything but that’s what we have been 
working from.

attention so we're ignoring it.

The best practices whitepaper explains the tables and sample jobs to clean it 
up, so we just added cleanup jobs to the needed tables in our Oracle db.

It doesn't really get into the need to maintain indexes or things like that so 
we didn't do any such thing.
