Hi All!
One of my friends asked me about how can he run an IOS command from a Unix
box...
***hold on!!!! I know that Expect can do that... keep reading***
But keep the IOS command output in the Unix box in order to process it
later with a script program???
E.G.
I want to run from the Unix box to the Cisco box:
Router# sh ip int brief
And the output of this command I want to keep it in a local file
(file.txt) in the Unix box, and later run some script that mine data from
that file, like...
Unix$ processit.sh < file.txt
Do you know if Expect (or any other tool) can do this???
Any hint about how I and my friend can acomplish this is very welcome
Thanks in advance!

"Contrary to popular opinion, Unix is user friendly, It just happens to be
very selective about who it makes friends with."
