You would be much better off to use a sort of name resolution (ie WINS or
LMHOSTS depending on your environment) instead of opening up ports on your
routers. I have done this thousands of times and it works flawlessly. If
you need more information, I can post it later.
Opening those ports can be dangerous. It can also be detrimental to your
WAN performance.

TCP 139 would be required for ms networking
you may also need ip helper-address and ip forward protocol udp if you are
doing DHCP across the wan.
