Duplex mismatch is the culprit with so many Ethernet problems, it's certainly worth checking, but usually you see collisions or CRCs not both, depending on which mode is set for the interface you are looking at. The half side sees collisions. The full side sees CRCs. He's seeing both. I'd check the cable. On the other hand, physical layers usually mean the link doesn't even come up/up. But still, check the cable. Swap it out as a 1st step. > > Just for grins, though, I'd still like to know more about this > switch, its > software, and the device it is connected to. Yes, and more info about the duration of this problem, when it started, what changed, etc. Priscilla > > John > > >>> Robert Perez 6/16/03 11:31:20 > AM >>> > I'm thinking duplex mismatch or bad patch cable > > -----Original Message----- > From: Poulin, Darnell [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Monday, June 16, 2003 11:49 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Errors on Ethernet Interfaces [7:70733] > > > Hey folks.
