.. and you installed some additional Flash. My guess is the old bootROMs don't recognize your new flash. Best bet is to update the bootROMs. - Just took a look at an old 2501 - it has Intel chips on the Flash - and did have old bootROMs. The ancient GroupStudy archives should have specific info on which Brands of Flash the old boxes used.
