Title: RE: Network+, INET, A+, ???????

Below is the link for the N+ cert.

"technical knowledge of networking professionals with 18 - 24 months experience in the IT industry"

Nope not N+, but thought I put my 2cents in.

I suspect that the N+ holds just about as much water as the A+...  It shows
that you have an initial understanding of the field consistent with someone
who has 0-6 months experience in networking (or PC break/fix for the A+).

To be honest with you, the only case where this would be interesting to me
is if I am looking for a diamond in the rough to bring up to speed from
'This is a football'.  That means I might give an interview, but if I do I
am really looking for a can-do, will-do attitude with aptitude and the
ability to learn like crazy.

Now, if you have this certification, congratulations!  It is a great first
step.  Just remember to keep working, and that there is a lot of other
things you need to do to ultimately establish yourself in the same league as
the heavy-hitter types.

Good luck, HTH,

Casey Fahey, CCNP, MCSE, A+
